10 Future Myths to Watch for in the Mobile Telecoms Industry, a downloadable booklet, was created as part of my PhD research project A Future Archaeology of the Mobile Telecoms Industry.
It forms a guide to help people spot these myths, and to question them, ask ‘How might we do it otherwise?’
The myths include familiar stalwarts such as Moore’s Law and Wearable Technology, to the less familiar myths of Ubiquity and Magic. Although published in 2007, the myths remain strong and prevalent in the industry today (see my later paper on the zombie futures in the industry, futures that never seem to die).
