As we go through a tunnel my ears start to build pressure. I notice a man wincing and placing his fingers in his ears. It is almost painful and certainly unpleasant. Does anyone else have a problem? The two women chatting across the table do not stop. There is a baby in the carriage, it has woken up and is wailing. It is soon stilled. [notebook: 2 June 2004 10am]
