Pandora’s Box: Fragments from the Future Archaeologist

As part of my ethnography of the UK mobile telecoms industry in 2007 I created a Pandora’s Box of futures, concepts, and imaginaries.

The cards can be shuffled, blown, or tossed together in a myriad of ways. There are 12 cards in total, each one derived from the results of my research, each one offering a different concept relevant to the future of the mobile telecoms industry.

Pandora’s Box was produced in a limited edited of two. One box for my use as a researcher; one box for the use of my fieldsite, a design studio in a major mobile phone manufacturer.

The project was part of my PhD Thesis, A Future Archaeology of the Mobile Telecoms Industry.
