‘Energy‘ is a short story about where data goes to die, when we remember that data is energy.
It’s a heritage future for both energy and data, for both the wave energy generator, Pelamis, and for the data that constituted the machine and its lived experience, which I wrote a poem for back in 2017.
For those who remember my ‘data crematoria’ this short story is my first published reference to that machine–which was first developed for a workshop on heritage futures for ICOMOS and for UN World Futures Day.
