Online collection of experimental writing.
I had the honour of running a Creative Writing workshop for PhD students, Writing Imaginaries, Making Futures as part of the Intergender Network, at the Blekinge Institute of Technology, March 2012.
The workshop was inspired by the question: “What if the study and crafting of fiction and fact happened explicitly, instead of covertly, in the same room, and in all the rooms?” This is the question that Donna Haraway posed, following her concern with situated knowledge-making. This 3-day PhD course took this as an invitation to experiment with different forms of empirical writing practice.
The book is a collection of some of the experimental writing created during the workshop by the students. All of the writing is an exploration of ongoing research and fieldwork. It includes a lovely commentary by Lucy Suchman, who responded with her thoughts on reading the collection.
